9/3/2023 0 Comments Autodesk recap pro priceLeica should at lease keep the same price for the service and not charge a premium for the same service we are getting on Recap Pro. The fact is that they did a partnership that only provided support for 3 years and probably Autodesk agreed to kill the support to the Leica BLK360 at the end of term. Leica in the other hand blames Autodesk for not updating the iPad app to support the new firmware. Autodesk haven't update the iPad app for years and they blame Leica for not providing the code to support the new firmware updates. They both point fingers to each other on the reason for the switch. Both Autodesk and Leica support teams are useless. Maybe if there are enough people that brought the Leica BLK360 scanner that can all together sign in to pursue a legal compliant would work. ![]() It is not fare for many of us that bought the scanner just because of the support for Autodesk. If Autodesk cares to their customers, they should at least do a final update to the app to remove the login requirement so we can continue to use the app to capture and transfer the scans to Recap Pro or come app with an utility that allows us to transfer the scans to Recap Pro directly. This is a direct hit to the laser scan users like myself since now i have to pay a premium of $2,110.00 a year on top of paying for Recap Pro license. This week i got an email telling that the Recap iPad app will not longer work with the scanner and that now i would have to use Leica Cyclone to do the process. I was one of the first to buy the scanner because it came with a promise of full support from Autodesk for capturing, registering and processing the point clouds within Autodesk Recap. ![]() Hi, i am here to express my disappointment on Autodesk lack of support and now discontinuation of a product that was released to support the Leica BLK360.
